10 Behind The CounTer 2007
A
lthough she has always
loved houses, Lil Glenn hasn't
always been a Realtor.
While her children were
growing up Lil attended
Converse College, majoring in
studio art and minoring in in-
terior design and architectural
history.
Like most artists, she has a
great eye for detail, which led her
to renovate some homes in her
historic neighborhood. When
she enjoyed selling the homes
more than working on them, she
decided to go into real estate
in 1986.
From her offi ce on Main
Street, Lil has enjoyed watch-
ing downtown Greenville's
renaissance. Thanks to their
long-standing Greenville con-
nections, she and her agents
often fi nd out about residen-
tial and commercial properties
before they go on the market.
Before Lil shows her clients
a single property, she visits
their home to see how they
live.
"This helps me build a
relationship with my clients,
so that I can help defi ne their
needs and wants," she says.
In a time when bigger
seems to be better, Lil Glenn
has purposely kept her real
estate agency small. She and
her dedicated team, Alan Huff,
Mary Margaret Goodlett, Rex
Carter and Bill Camp work
closely together. After 20 years
in real estate, Lil knows that
sometimes smaller is better.
