Behind The CounTer 2007

ot too many people will
admit that they love details,
but Amy Walsh is proud of her
affinity for fine print. She would
have done well at the Internal
Revenue Service, but she chose
to wear a white hat instead: her
life's work is helping her clients
avoid taxes.
She's carved a niche for
herself overseeing 1031 prop-
erty exchanges. If you own
investment property that you
want to sell and you plan to
buy another property call
Amy now. The IRS has very
strict rules, and after 10 years in
the business, Amy knows them
backwards and forwards (it's
the fine print thing again).
She figures out how you
can pocket most of your profit,
while making sure that you
don't get in trouble with the
folks in Washington. And best
of all, she'll be glad to do all of
the paperwork for you.
Amy is one of only two
Certified Exchange Specialists
in South Carolina. She and her
husband have lived in Greenville
since 2002. Although she likes
nothing more than curling up
with a big thick book of tax
codes, she also enjoys discussing
the ins and outs of commercial
real estate with her 19-month-
old daughter.
