The Journal is unlike anything you've ever seen before. Sure, we maintain the integrity
of a traditional newspaper, but we also present information in an innovative,
colorful, easy-to-read format. Our focus never strays from the local news and
views that impact the communities of Upstate South Carolina. Best described as
a metropolitan community weekly (easy for us to say), The Journal is published in a reader-friendly magazine format every Friday.
The weekly frequency is by design to match the needs of our busy reader, many
of whom do not have time to keep up with a daily paper.
Within our pages you'll find five locally written and edited sections that revolve
around your life in your community: Community, Business, FYI, Arts and the Journal
Homes Report.
Our writers and columnists are local citizens. They have chosen the Upstate as
their preferred place to work; to raise their families; and to call home. We have
sought out the best and brightest staff and contributors in the region. These
are people who know their community, people who know the names and places that
matter to you and who are committed to delivering their very best to your home,
week in and week out.
