How do you determine what goes in The Journal?
Our editorial team reviews each story and asks five general questions:

1. Is it happening in Greenville County, and/or does it specifically impact the residents of Greenville County?
2. Will it interest a significant portion of our readers?
3. Is it timely?
4. Do we have the resources to cover the story effectively?
5. Do we have enough actual space in the publication to run the story?

If our editorial team can collectively answer yes to these questions, with particular emphasis on questions 1 and 2, then the story goes into the paper.
